With an abundance of parts in the market, it’s not impossible to go overboard and build something that’s too wild and undrivable or something too pure to be enjoyed, so it’s definitely not an easy task. Enter an example of balance - the Karpartzzz69 Lancer Evolution IX.
Setting apart this original LHD CT9A from the rest are the genuine Monster Sport parts tastefully selected to complete the exterior of the car. These include a Monster Sport CF Hood, Side Skirt Guard, CF Rear Spoiler Riser, and Gurney Flap. A Ralliart front chin finished in Carbon Fiber as well finishes off the aggressive looking front end, perfectly balancing the CF accents from the rear.
Powering the car is the proven 4G63T MIVEC engine producing 310whp and 288wtq on a stock turbo, courtesy of an ECUTEK tune by Toby Lee. Not the highest of numbers, but certainly enough to keep the car enjoyable, drivable, and balanced on the road. Enabling this is a mix of high-quality parts from Tomei, HKS, Ralliart, and Monster Sport. One thing that stands out in the engine bay is a Braille Lightweight Lithium Battery, a rare sight to see on locally modified cars.
Helping put the power down the road are a set of 18x8.5j Volk Racing TE37s wrapped in sticky Bridgestone Potenza RE-71Rs. Peeking inside the spokes are Dixcel slotted brake rotors and Brembo calipers front and rear with Acre Formula 900 Brake Pads. Suspension is taken care of by a set of Öhlins DFV Road & Track Coilovers mated to a plethora of Cusco and Hard Race suspension parts and bracing.
The interior is finished off with a tasteful selection of rare Ralliart items, such as a Ralliart S2 Gauge, Steering Wheel Cover, and a Ralliart Recaro driver’s seat. An OEM triple DIN gauge and Varis 6MT shift knob completes it all.
